Lisa Roti is a Chicago-based actor, writer, and producer known for portraying emotionally layered, sharply observant women who excel at balancing wit and volatility. With a background in classical ballet, martial arts, and international jazz performance, Lisa brings precision and unexpected physical confidence to roles that are both grounded and electric. Her television credits include co-starring roles on Amazon’s Utopia, NBC’s Chicago PD (appearing as both criminal and detective), FOX’s The Mob Doctor, and a turn opposite Jeremy Piven in Cupid. Lisa recently led the indie feature Laundromat and earned a Best Supporting Actress nomination for her role in Side Effects, directed by José Mutarelli.
Lisa gravitates toward work that highlights the absurdity, defiance, and quiet ache of modern womanhood. Her characters tend to walk into the room with a past they’re not apologizing for. She is currently developing WTF, a semi-autobiographical series blending dark comedy and poignancy to explore aging, caregiving, identity, and the fallout of a high-functioning life unraveled. As a jazz vocalist, Lisa toured internationally and served as an American Artist Ambassador to China under President Obama’s 100,000 Strong initiative. She is most at home in stories where humor and heartbreak co-exist—particularly those that tackle identity, resilience, power, and love with a dark comedic edge.
