I'm Lisa Roti
In front & behind the camera 🎥
I'm a SAG-AFTRA actor, writer, and lifelong performing artist.
I began my professional career as a classical ballet dancer before finding my way into jazz, touring internationally as a vocalist and serving as an American Artist Ambassador to China. I've also studied martial arts. Movement, music, and storytelling have been part of my life for as long as I can remember.
Today, I work professionally in film, television, theater, and commercials. My television credits include NBC's Chicago P.D., Amazon's Utopia, and FOX's The Mob Doctor. My film work includes leading and supporting roles in Laundromat: The Thriller, Duality, and Side Effects, for which I received a Best Supporting Actress nomination.
I've also worked extensively as an on-camera host and spokesperson, with commercial and corporate credits including ACE Hardware, Serta, Illinois Tourism, Heifer International, and CareerBuilder.
Beyond performing, I work in casting and film production, most recently serving as casting director for the feature film Desperate Covenant. I'm also developing WTF, a semi-autobiographical dark comedy about aging, caregiving, identity, and the unexpected humor in life's more complicated chapters.
Outside of work, I've skied from the highest reaches of the Alps, climbed the Great Wall of China twice, and discovered that some of my best memories began with something that scared me... a lot.
Some of my most meaningful experiences, though, have happened much closer to home. Caring for family has taught me a great deal about patience, resilience, and the complexities of being human. I care deeply, sometimes more than is practical, but I've come to appreciate that about myself.
For me, the most rewarding part of acting is the opportunity to understand someone else's life, find what connects us, and perhaps help an audience see another person a little differently. That same belief is why I also choose to support production behind the camera, none of us gets very far alone, at least not with joy.
